Durable Medical Equipment (DME) Coordinator

 

Home Care Connect, LLC, based in Winter Park, FL, serves its clients nationally with a comprehensive range of home health services, durable medical equipment, and medical supplies. Home Care Connect currently seeks an experienced DME Coordinator to join its team. The primary responsibility of this role is to provide information on DME to staff, referral sources, and injured workers.

 

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Provide excellent customer service
  • Accept DME referrals
  • Communicate and update referral sources until DME has been delivered
  • Provide and receive written authorization from payer source prior to delivery of equipment
  • Work closely with referral source, injured worker, and DME providers to ensure appropriate DME is delivered in a specific time frame
  • Confirm deliveries of DME
  • Work with Billing Department to ensure pricing and billing are accurate

 

Experience:

  • Home Health or Medical experience strongly preferred
  • Customer Service experience, preferably in a call center environment
  • Strong Communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Knowledge of medical terminology
  • Strong Computer skills
