Financial Analyst

Home Care Connect, based in Winter Park, FL, currently seeks an experienced Financial Analyst. This role is responsible for performing fiscal assignments of a diverse nature participating in a broad variety of budget and financial analyses.  

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Create financial models for decision making support
  • Analyze financial data and provide forecasting support along with predictive analytics
  • Assist CFO with monthly financial closing procedures and financial statement preparation
  • Provide commentary for significant variances in monthly financial statements
  • Compute monthly commissions due to Regional and National Account Managers
  • Assist CFO with preparation of annual budget and updates
  • Provide proforma scenario analyses as requested by CFO
  • Prepare departmental monthly actual to budget analyses and report on identified variances
  • Post or import bi-weekly payroll to departmental budgets
  • Monitor economic trends and impact on business
  • Improve financial performance by analyzing results, monitoring variances, and recommending opportunities for improvement to management
  • Assist in Customer pricing and provider rate determination
  • Monitor and analyze Customer as well as line of business and service level profitability
  • Perform quarterly analysis of sales tax exposure
  • Develop, monitor, and analyze KPIs and operational metrics
  • Perform market research and valuation comps
  • Assist in continuous improvement of key processes, including Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, and Billing
  • Create standard and ad-hoc reports, tools, and dashboards
  • Provide accurate information and timely assistance as directed by the CFO to ensure effective department functioning. Demonstrate the capability to function at a high level under deadlines.
  • Provides recommendations to the CFO in assuring the integrity of financial reporting results and statistics.
  • Contribute to an environment oriented to open communications, proactive thinking, cohesive team effort, and workplace trust.
  • Engage with team members to support adherence to policies, processes, and procedures.            

Experience and Skills:

  • Accounting background with at least 3 years of experience in financial reporting and analysis
  • Bachelor's degree with a major in Finance, Accounting, or Economics or related field
  • CPA, CFA, or MBA certification is preferred
  • Knowledge of the Workers' Compensation Industry preferred
  • High proficiency in financial modeling techniques
  • Must be highly analytical, innovative, and a good written and oral communicator
  • Knowledge of various IT software required including report writing skills and data query/management tools, along with advanced knowledge of Excel, including formulas, functions, and pivot tables. Experience with Amazon Quicksight and Oracle Netsuite a plus.
  • Strong emotional intelligence, collaborative, problem solving, critical thinking, and business acumen skills.
