Human Resources Specialist

Home Care Connect seeks an experienced Human Resources Specialist to join its HR team. The focus of this role is to provide in office HR support to the Director of Human Resources and payroll support to the Human Resources Administrator.


Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Assist with recruiting talent, interviewing, hiring, credentialing, and onboarding
  • Assist with New Hire Orientation
  • Maintain compliance with local, state, and federal employment laws and regulations to ensure best practices
  • Perform routine tasks required to administer and execute human resource programs including but not limited to compensation, benefits, and leave; disciplinary matters; disputes and investigations; performance and talent management; productivity, recognition, and morale; and training and development
  • Process paperwork for employee files
  • Answer and direct department emails and phone calls
  • Schedule appointments, meetings, interviews, orientations, and trainings
  • Organize company gatherings, events, and celebrations
  • Assist with HR reports and presentations
  • Perform routine tasks required for disciplinary matters, disputes and investigations, performance management, recognition, and development
  • Attend meetings and events as requested
  • Performs other duties as assigned

  • Thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Proficient with HRIS or HRMS


Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred
  • HR Certifications (SHRM and/or HRCI) strongly preferred
  • HR experience in the Medical Field or Workers' Compensation Industry preferred
  • HRIS/HRMS experience required
  • At least three (3) years of HR experience, including payroll processing required
