Network Development Specialist

*HomeCare Connect is excited to implement a hybrid work schedule for this role, providing work in the office 2-3 days per week and remote work 2-3 days per week.

HomeCare Connect, located in Winter Park, FL, seeks an experienced Network Development Specialist to join its growing team. The Network Development Specialist establishes and maintains positive and productive relationships with network providers and contracts with non-network providers to grow coverage to provide in-network services for customers.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Respond to inquiries from providers regarding contractual questions.
  • Negotiate contract terms & pricing agreements, services resolutions, and provider recruitment.
  • Work with COO Laurie Hilfiker or as designated to identify, recruit, negotiate, and contract new providers to fill network gaps for ancillary services.
  • Develop direct contracted relationships with the Top 90 utilized out of network Providers per quarter.
  • Work with providers in the reviewing of application, contracts and ensuring all documents are obtained to meet established credentialing requirement.
  • Prepare completed applications, credentialing, and contract documents for counter execution.
  • Document contracting activity that is communicated to COO Laurie Hilfiker as instructed.
  • Help operations find Out of Network providers when needed and attempt to contract with that provider after negotiating the one-time order.
  • Perform related work as assigned.

Experience and Knowledge:

  • Knowledge of project management
  • Strong negotiation skills

  • Claims experience
  • Knowledge of medical coding and HCPCS
  • Knowledge of Workers' Comp Fee Schedules rules of reimbursement
  • Strong cognitive skills
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral

  • Prioritization and time management skills
  • Attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to work individually as well as with a team
  • Excellent computer skills, including MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Sales Force, etc.

Qualifications/ Education:

  • Bachelor's Degree in related field strongly preferred
  • At least one year of experience in Workers' Compensation industry preferred
  • At least one year of experience working with Provider Relations
  • At least two years of experience in HME/DME strongly preferred
